Dapplewood pitches are generously spaced and offer a beautiful sunset view. Perfect for groups, book all five pitches for the price of four and guarantee complete privacy for the duration of your stay.
Delicious Food
Many of our guests at Dapplewood ask us to recommend places to eat for lunch or an evening meal.
We are very spoilt as we have a fabulous ‘Gastro Pub’ in the village of Holt just a short walk away across the fields called The Old Inn and only a short drive into the Market town of Wimborne you will find a variety of privately owned intimate restaurants serving classic British food, tasty international foods including Italian, Chinese and French as well as Traditional ‘pub grub’.
For a special treat, visit the glamorous Rick Stein’s in Poole Harbour or take a trip to Brockenhurst in the New Forest and book a table at The Pig for fashionable food in a stunning Georgian country house. Don’t forget the Hunters wellies!
If you prefer to cook a delicious BBQ, try our ‘Kadai’ fire bowl and then enjoy the warmth of the flames into the evening whilst you relax with a bottle of wine. Our very first guests cooked a joint of pork on the ‘Kadai’! So help yourself to the fresh herb garden and let your culinary imagination get carried away.
We also offer a selection of freshly baked warm breakfast patisserie and seasonal hot baked apple and pear crumble for those with a sweet tooth!

Dapplewood Guests:
We love our children who have now left for Uni but really wanted to find a site without the usual family hubbub. The only sounds were the lovely birds and the occasional MOO from the cows!
Dapplewood is the perfect place for a stop over on our route down to Cornwall as it is only a short detour from the A31. We borrowed the fire pit and after our BBQ it kept the chill away and was quite romantic! We would happily stay longer.
This site is immaculate and well considered. We are looking forward to coming back for more of the beautiful Sunsets and returned home rested and relaxed.
Driving Directions
From M3 – Head south to M27 through the New Forest. After Ringwood take the first exit to Ashley heath. Proceed through Three Legged Cross. Straight over two mini roundabouts and then take the first left sign posted to Holt. Proceed for approx. 2.5 miles through Holt Heath and turn right onto Lodge Road following signs for Gaunts common. Once you arrive on Lodge Road Dapplewood can be found on the left just past Lodge Road Business Center
